I am afraid. Afraid to let go. Let go of this hurt.
Hurt by the pain. Pain deep inside. Inside I'm afraid.
Afraid to be. Treated differently. Different and so delicate.
Delicately broken. Broken and so ashamed.
Ashamed of the hurt. Confused by the pain. Pain deep inside.
Every night I ask why. It had to be ME...
To receive positivity, we must get out of this headspace of feeling worthless, afraid and ashamed. You can’t let the Why’s of the world destroy your very existence. We know it hurts and at times you feel alone but we are here for you. We have all experienced some form of hate, disappointment, emotional pain or negative vibes. It’s not an easy hurdle to overcome but the way you move about it changes the outcome. Believe that you are here for a purpose otherwise you wouldn’t exist. Harboring all the negativity from what people say or think is what you are allowing to move you. Don’t let it! In fact when negativity moves, get out the way and let that b!tch pass! Hold your head high and let go. Strut through life with confidence knowing that you are enough and guess what? Negativity picks another path to take because you are unfazed. Being big is not a mistake, a sin or a crime nor do you owe anyone an explanation for why you move the way you do. You are stronger than you realize. Steps toward fulfilling your individuality may be small but improve over time as you continue to take larger leaps over these hurdles. At times, these hurdles will be tough to tackle but you will succeed eventually. Always believe that.
Uniquely big beauty was created to be a space where we can share our experiences in hopes that others will receive the message, participate in sharing theirs and then pass it along to the next beauty. We want to create a community where there are no limitations to individuality and all experiences shared can help the next person who might feel out of place or not accepted. We also want to shine a light on the unexpected that is continually disregarded and give them the RESPECT they deserve. We speak on issues that everyday conversations and media coverage don't include. We have to step in front of this and confront it head on. That is what we intend to do.
